Flawed Christian in the middle of recreating my life from scratch. I have two incredible sons (20 & 18 - can you tell I'm a proud dad?), and am a recording and performing musician, motorcycle rider, road cyclist, and a tech guy.
I'm a sucker for a great plotline in a movie, have a soft spot for Ennio Morricone's soundtracks and middling romantic comedies like Notting Hill. I also love D.A. Carson's & Tim Keller's thoughtful and insightful writings, roasting my own coffee beans, great California red wines and Davidoff cigars. And I'm unabashedly fond of Pride and Prejudice.
There's also something wildly satisfying about taking a sportbike fully leaned over through a hairpin turn, somehow of the same fabric as a passionate Keith Jarrett improvisation or Bach's Cantata 140.
I'm finding that pain and heartbreak is what God uses to wean my affections from the things of this earth. But I'm sure there's a lot more for me to learn, and I have a lot of mistakes left to make.
